Malifaux: Gremlinette, the Alternate Hog Whisperer

As this blog often demonstrates, I have a weak spot for limited models. Knowing this, Sean, my friend and regular gaming partner, generously gave me my first metal limited Malifaux model, the Gremlinette.

I usually pin plastic Gremlins into already made and painted bases. The Gremlinette came with the a standard metal tab between her feet. I decided to leave it and just build the base around her. The base may have suffered a bit for it, but she’s firmly attached.

Arena Rex: Lupa

I’m a well-documented sucker for limited models. So when Lupa became available, I had to have her. This hammer, in resin with two contact points, is pretty much my nightmare, trying to keep things lined up and straight. At least it isn’t as painful as some of the spears.

Malifaux: Alt Swinecursed

The alt for the Swinecursed is what really pushed me into picking up the Wong box. I am a sucker for alternates and limiteds, and the Swinecursed’s built in Magical gives it some immediate synergy.

I decided to go bold for hair color. Wong’s magic seems like a colorful kind of magic, as opposed to the more naturalistic Zoraida. I only realized after it was too late that the texture on the forearms is supposed to be more hair. Oh well.
