I’ve wanted to do this combination for a very long time. When I put together the Gnome Battlesmith on an Ibex, and the Gnome Alchemist on a Shadow Fox, I magnetized the riders so they can swap. But the Gnome Magister is standing on his Magic Carpet so it doesn’t work so well.

I had a grand vision of cutting off the legs of the Battlesmith and doing an actual conversion. But then I realized that I could get away with making a very simple saddle out of green stuff. It works fine!
I’ve been Forbidden Psalm curious for a long time, but never found the opportunity to actually give it a go. Adepticon 2024 was finally my chance.

I assembled my team. I went into the bit box (and swag of Adepticon past) to find interesting bits. Many of the torsos are Black Sun Enforcers from Legion.

But then the heads and arms are mostly GW from various games and kits.

After I built the models I tried to build the crew using the Forbidden Psalm rules. Many of the flaws ran counter to how I wanted to run the model. Oh well, all hail the dice.

It was clear at the event that I didn’t go weird enough with the conversions. But it was a great time.
