This Crisis Protocol box came in this year’s Adepticon swag bag. I decided to use it to kick off an X-Men force.
Gambit’s got some nice energy in his sculpt. I’m never very happy with sculpted energy beams, but at least this helps sell the motion.
Rogue had some kind of sphere on her fist. I’m not enough of a fan of the books to know if it has special meaning. But I thought it looked kind of dopey so skipped it.
Saburo is the final model in my Bushido backlog. He’s more dino-like than the rest of his snaky friends.
In retrospect, his cloak is probably too dark relative to his skin. I wanted to keep the same green-black cloak as some other Ito models, but the contrast is too low.
Yatsumata is a giant two-headed snake. That’s a 50mm base he’s standing on.
I tried to add a triangle pattern to the scales, though I’m not sure it really comes through.
Ito Kaihime is a non-stealth snake-person. I feel like the twist in her torso really helps sell it as a part of her essence.
There’s something about Ito Kaihime’s clothing the feels very anime to me. She had a very nice hat.
The arrowhead is prone to bending, as you can see. I managed to bend it again between taking the spins and the still photos. Oh well, you can’t win them all.
