Baba Yaga is a fun standalone miniature, who has rules to play as a force unto himself. I couldn’t help myself.
The Spectre show special for Adepticon-that-wasn’t 2020 is this insurgent commander. Since I was picking up the two player starter that included insurgents, it seemed an obvious buy.
He’s a bit bulkier, and obviously more heavily armed, than most of his friends. Otherwise he adds a bit more variety to the collection.
These hazmat models just filled my head with all kinds of thematic scenarios.
They could fit in to all kinds of post-apocalyptic games. Protected from the zombie plague? Radiation? Bio weapons? All of the above?
It seems unlikely that a team like this would actually be outfitted with blue nitrile gloves, but I couldn’t help myself.
Along with the two player starter, I picked up a handful of additional Spectre models.
These undercover operatives are fun because they’re clearly ready for action, but not in uniform like the insurgents and DEVGRU.
The detail on these models is also a lot nicer. I wonder if they’d give a better first impression than some of the two-player starter models.
