The Underworlds Creepers are nearly the perfect Blitz Bowl box. It’s got two different six-model teams, the skaven and goblins. There’s just one problem: the goblin Blitz Bowl team is special and has eight models. I considered filling in the numbers with third party models, or even some of the Forgeworld options. In the end, I kept things simple and bought the four-man goblin expansion GW prime sells. That leaves with two spares.
To make the team fit in with the skaven, while still being distinct when played as separate teams, I cycled the colors. The skaven had green cloth and purple armor. Goblins have green flesh, purple cloth, and mostly black/metal armor.
The goblin balls are perhaps the best of the bunch. I especially like the squiq in a ball costume.
Goblin balls
The coin and marker got my standard treatment. No-frills, but still clearly team-associated.
When the Underworlds Creepers box was announced, it seemed nearly perfect for Blitz Bowl. Two half-sized Blood Bowl teams in one box. Thus skaven and goblins became my first expansion Blitz Bowl teams.
Skaven Gutter Runner
I knew I wanted them to work as a combined team, should I ever actually go the Blood Bowl route (or use some of the community rules for the Creepers). Since the goblins would have green skin, I decided on green for the primary cloth color on the skaven.
Skaven Blitzer
It was fun to blend the skin tones with fur. I’ve struggled with that in the past, but these show some progress.
Skaven Thrower
One nice thing about the Blood Bowl boxes are the decals. It makes the models less useful as generic fantasy, but the numbers help emphasize up the sports ball aspect of the game.

Skaven Lineman (tail up)
Skaven get some fun thematic balls, full of warpstone glowiness.
Skaven Balls
I continue to not be excited about properly painting up the coin and marker. So they just get a simple wash over a color that matches the team.
Last year’s Black Friday sale includes these promo models, as a general purpose (and just fun) marker. Well, it’s getting close(ish) to Christmastime again, so it’s high time it saw some paint.
With M3E came some new sculpts and rearranging of existing crew boxes. December Acolytes got a resculpt and promoted to the main Rasputina box. Since I already had the Nightmare Rasputina set, and preferred the old sculpts, I went out and found a set of the old December Acolytes.
December Acolyte (reaching)
They seem generally useful, especially as an anti-armor counter pick.
December Acolyte (wrist crossbow)
For color scheme I went with the same burgundy red cloaks and Rasputina, and then filled it in from there.
