Myari’s Purifiers is one of the two warbands in Direchasm, the latest season box for Underworlds.
I haven’t been keeping close eye on the Age of Sigmar factions, but I guess these are representatives of a new kind of elf.
All the models are exceptionally tall, making fitting them into foam tricky.
Myari’s owl is way cooler than Farstrider’s eagle. Fight me.
I’m getting more confident painting white. The secret, of course, is not to actually use white, but various grays.
Back to hobby popcorn, Underworlds warbands. This time, it’s one from the Nightvault cycle, Thundrik’s Profiteers.
I have a few Kharadron Overlords models from my brief foray into Age of Sigmar. Maybe I’ll use them together sometime, so I followed that scheme pretty closely.
I’m not quite sure I like guns in fantasy settings. But mecha’d up dwarves are hard to say no to.
The best part is the beard armor.

I guess a flight stand might be too much to ask for in Underworlds. Anchor it is.
Guild Autopsies are another cheap minion for McMourning, and general purpose cowboy zombies.
They do all have excellent hats.
And pretty good shambling poses.
I picked these up out of a sense of completion. I already had Nurses and alt Rafkin, so I figured if I ever wanted the Autopsies I should find an M2E box. I don’t know how often I’ll play with them, but they were a fun paint project.
The Canine Remains are a cheap minion for McMourning. As usual, my supernatural animals turn out much cooler than more natural ones.
I had intended for this puppy to be a blue-black. It turned out just plain blue, but I actually like it. So much of my Malifaux is drab colors, it’s nice to have something bolder.
I lost one of this guy’s ears during assembly. But why won’t a zombie dog be missing an ear?
Many Malifaux undead models (like the Rougarou) have chunks of exposed flesh to demonstrate it’s undeadness. I always struggle to make it blend with the rest of the model.
