Lunar is another game put out by Black Site Studios, which is really on a roll for publishing skirmish games. It’s set For All Mankind-like alternate history where there’s a military buildup on the moon. I couldn’t help myself and signed up for the preorder.
Lunar (USA starter)
The models come with a ton of weapon options. That nice and allows for a bunch of customizability. But it also means analysis paralysis, especially when you haven’t played it yet. I decided to just go for a variety.
I’ve been eyeing Crisis Protocol for a long time. Hulk and Venom came in the swag back for the canceled Adepticon 2020, but the box sat unloved on my shelf. Until a buddy said he picked up the starter. I decided to put together my models to go along with some borrowed models in a demo game.
Hulk
The game is a lot fun. The effective second life every model (except Hulk) gets gives your crew an interesting longevity. Plus, Marvel makes some fun characters.
I messed up when ordering my initial set of Morituri models. I intended to buy up to a six-model in-faction team. But I must have thought that Sereqet had two stages, so I only got five. I already had Anum, but he seems best with more beasts.
Khepros
So it’s finally time I fixed it. Khepros has a rad shield, with some blue accepts to match my Morituri models.
