Relicblade: Temple of Justice (2021)

Part of the latest Relicblade Kickstarter was resculpting some of the oldest models. So here we have new versions of the Temple of Justice.

Questing Knight (2021)

The Questing Knight was my favorite of the original bunch. At first I wasn’t too sure about the new one. But the detail on the armor won me over.

Cleric of Justice (2021)

I totally dig these dragonmen. Give me more.

Spirit Weapon (2021)

Last time I painted the whole weapon as if it were made of spirit magic. This time, I decided it was a (relatively) normal weapon, being used by magic.

Thief (2021)

The rogue was my least favorite of the original set, at least in part due to my paint job. So why did I choose the same color scheme? Oh well, at least the shoes and kneepads are more different than the skin.

Relicblade: Storms of Kural Adversary

Much like the Advocate side, I already had the alt for the Iguan Marauder, so I focused my hobby time on the new characters.

Destroyer Pig

This pig is my favorite of the bunch. He’s got such weight to him and strength to his pose.

Dark Prophet

I’m a huge sucker for the crow face, whether bony like on the Dark Prophet or in mask form like Malifaux’s Carrion Effigy. The colors I chose are a bit bright and happy for a dark master, but since I’m usually quite drab I’ll give myself a pass here.

Slayer Squid

The Slayer Squid is model that I think suffers the most from the one-piece design. From this angle it’s a great model. But as you turn it it’s a bit flat. There are so many arms, it’s too bad they can’t be more dimensional. I’d be thrilled to see this guy reposed as a multipiece.

Relicblade: Storms of Kural Advocate

The Storms of Kural, Relicblade’s latest Kickstarter, has a great sampling of new characters from the various thematic factions in Relicblade. I already got the alternate sculpts for the Lone Guard Infiltrator and Warden of Justice, so I focused on the brand the characters.

Gnome Grenadier

This hat gives me a strong David the Gnome vibe, so I leaned into it.

Wild Elf Witch

If the magic doesn’t work, don’t worry, there’s still a knife in tow.

Relicblade: Braziers Round 2

I already had one set of Relicblade braziers, but some missions need more than three. So I ordered another set.

Braziers (round 2)

The others had blue flames. These could be used to indicate an opposing faction, so I went with green flames.

Braziers (round 2, with flames)

But flames isn’t enough. Ever since I played with the first set, I wanted something different. I wanted pools of blood. So I made some. One of the awesome bits of these braziers is the rounded bowl that the flames match. It keeps the flames in place without needing magnets. For the blood, I pressed a flame’s rounded edge into some Instant Mold to make a negative. Once cool, I could make a matching positive of green stuff, then press a few skulls and other creepy stuff into it. I made three with blood, and three with just skulls and such, so they can be split into two groups again. More factions!

Braziers (blood sacrifice)

Put it all together, and I’ve got quite a collection of brazier-based objectives.
