Onceagain it’s time for a reflection on a year of hobby.
Overview
I started the year with a deadline looming. A Team Yankee campaign was getting started. I had just acquired enough models to fill out an army and only had about five weeks to get it table ready. I also had Dropzone Commander and Arena Rex backburnered.
Miss Fire (alt Willie) exhausts my Arcanists limited stash.
I decided she was using wooden wheels. Overall I’m pretty meh on the paint job for this model. The thrown dynamite doesn’t really sell. Her face is really flat. At least her clothes look okay.
Continuing to flesh out the Arcanist collection (and clear out my stash of limited models), Alt Firestarter comes out to play.
Fire is not one of my strengths, but I love the dynamism of the pose. I continue to do a tiny tiny amount of OSL, with orange highlights on the boots and straps. It might be too subtle, but it helps.
I’ve played the Dark Carnival crew a couple of times now. While I’m pretty well set on bigbeaters, I’m lacking in smaller models. Arcane Effigy, with condition removal, fits the bill nicely.
Arcane EffigyThis little guy is deceptively tricky. All the arms and candle holders make for a spindly assembly. Then when painting, the insides of the leg straps are hard to get to. They’re visible enough that you can’t ignore them.
