Here’s another Versatile Arcanist. This one is really big, though.
Honestly I have mixed thoughts about big models like this. Sure, they’re cool. But they’re a pain to store, transport, and sometimes even play with.
The mane was something of a beast to assemble. There are a bunch of small abstract flamey bits. The sprue had no numbers, so I cut and cleaned them for assembly. Then I noticed the instructions had an illustration of the sprue with numbers for reference. Oops!
The main body of the mount is the same Turbo Dork Wave Length I’ve used on some other models. I’m probably overusing it, but at least I’m getting my money’s worth.
These mechanical spiders continue my fleshing out of Arcanists Versatile models.
I followed pretty much the same pattern as with the Soulstone Miners. Wave Length blue and silver, with some brass for highlights. It’s simple, but it’s clean.
I had a heck of a time figuring out which leg went where. On the blue one, I think I got it right. Not so much for poor silver here. I even had to use a rock to cover up how uncoordinated the legs are.
