Arena Rex: Anum
At this point I’ve got a pretty good size collection of Arena Rex beasts. It’s probably about time I could take them as a cohort.
Anum brings some pretty cool abilities, including giving up some health to remove a fatigue, for a surprise double-whammy.
As a model I’m actually happy with how the spots turned on the hyena, unlike a lot of the animal patterns I’ve attempted.
Arena Rex: Atrox
Compared to Proximo, Atrox is just a tiger. While he may not be the most spectacular creature out there, there’s a ton of great detail in the model.
My color choice came out much less orange than I had intended. The stripes also leave something to be desired. On the other hand, I’m quite satisfied with the whites on the face and paws, and I fixed a nasty gap in the hips.
Arena Rex: Proximo
From the first time I saw Arena Rex, I wanted the fantastic beasts. Proximo is probably the most fantastic that I’ve done to date.
The sculpt feels like a cheetah/giraffe/snake hybrid, each flowing into the next. I tried to blend, mostly with the airbrush, so the paint job would match.
