It seemed like Bishop would make a good addition to both Pandora and Tara crews. I’ve gotten one game in with Tara, and Bishop put out a stupid amount of damage, including a couple counterpunches with his Cage Fighter defensive trigger.
Bishop
Much like Lilitu, the blade and chain catches on things, and the blade is already starting to break off. Maybe he’ll end up with a double chain fist.
The flames on Iggy’s hands gave opportunity to do more object source lighting, which I’ve done to some nice effect a few times. It ended up looking bad, though, so I painted back over it. I think the blue shirt is the wrong color choice to put reds and yellows on.
These models have interesting mutual synergies on the table, since healing or conditions that happen to one happen to the other. I tried to indicate their connectedness in color scheme, by inverting the flesh and cloth colors between the two, but given them common purple hair (which also ties into the rest of my Neverborn).
Lilitu
Lilitu’s model is frustrating. The chain whip is cool and all, but it’s plastic and catches on everything. I’m sure it’ll break off eventually, and in the meantime it doesn’t fit neatly in foam trays.
Lelu
The red flesh on Lelu matches his big brother, my Mature Nephilim proxy. I’m really happy with how the red blends together. For once, the poor coverage that red paints tend to have worked in my favor.
These models are famous for having crap ton of pieces, mostly random tentacle bits that it’s hard to figure out where they should go. Well, it’s true. It also leaves a crap ton of seams in inconvenient places. Even figuring out how the models are supposed to stand on their bases was tricky.
Insidious Madness (Less Mad)
This guy is the least mad of the three. He has a body plan that almost looks like more than “more tentacles!” But don’t worry, there are still plenty of random mouths and eyes to keep things exciting.
Insidious Madness (Grabby)
Now we’re talking, that’s a respectable random-tentacle-to-body-mass ratio. I can imagine the mouth pulling itself open all the way down, turning inside out in the process.
Insidious Madness (Blobby)
This one is the weirdest of them all. Mouths exploding out of joints, a strange central blob, plus an arm holding a blade for good measure.
In game, these guys move ridiculously fast, but they fall over in a stiff breeze. That’s about what you want in a scheme runner, but I haven’t had much luck with the Wp debuffs.
