This year’s Wyrd Easter models are actually delayed from 2020. But better late than never!
The Eggapult is an alt Pigapult. How is it an Eggapult when the rabbit is in the slingshot? Don’t ask so many questions.
Like many of the alts in recent years, these models metal. The posts of the slingshot are separate pieces from the base, and it was a pain to get everything lined up. A little green stuff in the joint on the base went a long way.
The set also came with this single alt Stuffed Piglet. It’s rare that you’d just take one, but I dig the theme regardless.
The Spectre show special for Adepticon-that-wasn’t 2020 is this insurgent commander. Since I was picking up the two player starter that included insurgents, it seemed an obvious buy.
He’s a bit bulkier, and obviously more heavily armed, than most of his friends. Otherwise he adds a bit more variety to the collection.
In most recent years, Wyrd has released a nightmare crew at Gencon, then an extra model in the same theme in Black Friday. This year, that’s Mad Cap, an alternate Metal Golem in the Malifaux 1988 theme.
This model was in softer plastic than most Malifaux, and sold pre-assembled. I believe it’s the same material as The Other Side. It’s not my favorite material, though it’s nicer than some PVC models.
Last year’s Nightmare crew was was anachronistic for Malifaux, a cyberpunk twist on Mei Feng
In this world, Mei rides the rails on roller blades, evidently. I wanted this crew to be brighter colored than most of my Malifaux, and selected orange as a color to tie them all together.
The orange on Mean Streak is relegated to just a few accents.
What fish wouldn’t want a robot body?
The Rail Workers each get a unique look. I especially like kangaroo-legged Tagline.
